Never Forget...

Poker Chip Snap

A fun trick and can be distracting to your opponents if you make the chip snap loud enough.

The Start

The Poker chip snap is probably the easiest poker chip trick to learn. Although it’s not fancy it will give you something to do while you wait for a playable hand. If you use a variation of the trick that I show you in steps 8, 9 and 10, you can create a louder snap that may just annoy your opponents enough to make a mistake.

Start with two chips in the palm of your hand.

Use your thumb

Place your thumb on the top of the chip. You will use it to slide the chip.

Start the slide

With your thumb slide the top chip forward towards your finger tips.

Slide it off

Bring the top chip all the way past the bottom chip midway up on your fingers.

Move your fingers

Bend you fingers back towards your wrist. This will cause the chip to start to flip backwards.

Support the chip

Use you thumb to support the chip as it comes back around

Snap it down

Close your fingers faster to cause the top chip to snap down on top of the bottom chip. This will bring you back to the starting point. Now if you want a louder snap use the next steps.

Making the snap louder

Top get a louder snap keep you thumb between the two chips.

Apply pressure

Apply more pressure on the top chip pressing it down on your thumb.

Flick your thumb

As you apply the pressure, flip your thumb out form between the chips. This will cause the chips to come together with more force making a louder noise.
